Pokemon is a fairly loveable idea. That said, Pokemon Tower Defense? This game’s certainly distinctive from whatever you might expect from the title. You won’t exactly be slinging out Charizard’s Flamethrower or Squirtle’s Water Gun. Instead, the video game revolves around a straightforward concept. You have Pokemon, that you place in designated slo-ts throughout the map. Evil pokemon stream to steal and carry back pokemon candy. You move your pokemon around these sl-ots mainly because it flings itself repeatedly to strike the aggressors.
It’s a decent concept, however the execution here is sadly lacking. The art style is jarring – gradients blended with pixelated Gameboy-style sprites. The specific animations in the tower defense gameplay are almost nonexistent, along with the whole “gotta-catch-em -all” gameplay of clickergames.in doesn’t layer perfectly into this game. Nevertheless there is promise, it’s simply not tapped perfectly. And annoyingly, there’s a login/signup system – you have to give your email before you decide to play.
The best part will be the story, that is told via cutscenes that get you back to the likes of Pokemon LeafGreen and may also genuinely produce a Pokemaniac smile. They think a bit just like a rushed Flash rendering based upon 89dexrpky standard Pokemon intro. As usual, there’s an evil team wreaking havoc – even though the text isn’t presented just like the original Gameboy games, it feels as though more attention was provided to the cutscenes in comparison to the actual gameplay. The entire impression is of any game haphazardly thrown together. However, it’s totally worth playing only if you want scarymaze.in and tower defense games. 7 out from 10.
